Need help, found a bug, or have a suggestion? You’re in the right place.
Get in touch directly: rauli.partanen@icloud.com
NutrientRadar is built and maintained by a single independent developer. I read every message and genuinely appreciate the time you take to report an issue or ask a question — it directly shapes what gets fixed and built next.
Common questions
Camera label scanning isn’t reading my label correctly
Camera scanning is currently in beta, which might be a more or less perpetual stage given that label formats, fonts, and curved bottles vary enormously, so results often need manual correction — the review screen after every scan lets you fix or remove any nutrient before saving. For best results:
- Use labels on flat surfaces where possible — many brands publish label images online that scan more reliably than a curved bottle
- Make sure the Supplement Facts panel fills the frame
- Good, even lighting helps a lot
- Take the picture with your main camera app and upload from your photo library – the camera app can sometimes get better results.
- Check if the supplement has this information behind the barcode
My purchase or Premium unlock isn’t working
Try Settings → Restore Previous Purchase first — this re-checks your Apple ID for a completed purchase. If you were gifted or redeemed a promo code, use the Redeem Code button on the Premium screen. If neither resolves it, email me with your Apple ID’s associated email (not your password) and roughly when you purchased, and I’ll help sort it out.
A nutrient’s RDA or unit looks wrong
RDA values are sourced from the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements. If you spot something that looks off, please email me the nutrient name and what you’re seeing and why you think it is wrong (with a link to a proper source) — this is genuinely useful and I want to fix it quickly.
I have a feature request
Always happy to hear these. No promises on timing, but I read and consider every suggestion that comes in.

Found a bug?
Please include as much detail as you can — what you were doing, what you expected to happen, and what actually happened. A screenshot helps enormously if the issue is visual.NutrientRadar — Supplement and nutrient tracking for iOS.
